About The Author
Barbara Williams Hodson, PhD, CCC-SLP, is the author of English and Spanish phonological assessment instruments and the developer of a computer software program. In addition, she has authored or co-authored three textbooks and a journal theme issue. Dr. Hodson also has published  numerous research articles in scholarly journals and a number of chapters in textbooks. In addition, she has given over 400 Clinical Phonology presentations nationally and internationally. Her contributions also include two continuing education videos (published by ASHA). Hodson, a Board Recognized Specialist in Child Language, has been directly involved with University Phonology clinics since 1975. Her recent recognitions include the American Speech-Language-Hearing Foundation’s Lifetime Clinical Career Award (2004), her university’s Excellence in Research award (2008), and   the highest award of the speech-language-hearing profession, ASHA Honors (2009).
